CAN Spotlight: Cornhole for a Cause

The Granville Angels of Ohio, the Renner and Rees family, are joining forces to support the Angelman syndrome community. On September 16th, they hosted their 1st Annual “Cornhole for a Cause” fundraising event. This inaugural event attracted 32 cornhole teams and around 200 people in total, raising over $17,500 for Angelman syndrome, with partial proceeds benefiting FAST.  In addition, it also inspired others to show up in the community!

Both local police and fire ended up showing up which was awesome for the kids to see the cruisers, EMS and fire truck.  The local high school cheerleaders did facepainting and advertised the event on their social media page as well. After the event, they were approached by others to support their branding and bring awareness to AS through a local media outlet.

We are so grateful for these families and their community for their efforts to raise dollars and awareness to benefit the Angelman syndrome community. Thank you!!
