Stephanie Ho and Fred Cheng of Hong Kong received the news last December that their son Asher lives with Angelman syndrome. They immediately began to find ways to help him one of those ways was to host a charity concert, which took place on July 7th in Hong Kong.
Over 1,000 people attended the concert and tickets were sold out. Six canto-pop singers, along with Fred and Stephanie, participated in this event, joining together to raise awareness for Angelman syndrome. The event was also covered by the local media outlets, with a YouTube video with over 660k views to date.
As a family that lives with Angelman syndrome, they are hopeful that by raising awareness for Angelman syndrome will provide a better future for their son, Asher. Having been diagnosed at 18 months last December, they immediately began to find ways to help him, and since music is what they know best, they decided to organize a charity concert.
What seemed impossible was made possible by all of their friends and family, and it really showed them how kind the world could be if we gather for love.
They are beyond grateful to have raised funds for the local Hong Kong ASF (HKASF) and FAST and they are looking forward to what the future holds.
