Warrior Wednesday: Mikel

Our Warrior Wednesday this week is a winner! Meet Mikel from Texas.

Mikel participated in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) Special Olympics event earlier this month. With a smile on his face and eager to run, he placed first in the 25-meter event!

Running is a difficult skill for many individuals living with Angelman syndrome to master. So for Mikel to participate in a race and be successful is quite an accomplishment.

His mother, Kendra, sees him as an AS Warrior, and so do we. Congratulations on your first-place ribbon, Mikel - you are an inspiration!
