Warrior Wednesday: Katie

Transitions are scary, but not for this week’s #WarriorWednesday, Katie from the UK!

For many children, the transition from a crib to a bed can be a big step for the child and the caregivers. For those who live with Angelman syndrome, this transition can be especially daunting to ensure safety and sleep!

Katie’s mum, Jo, moved her into a girl bed a couple of weeks ago and it’s going great! Katie is having no trouble going to bed and staying in her bed since the change. The challenge remains for her to stay asleep but progress has definitely been made.

“This is something I never thought would happen.” - Jo, mother of Katie

Kudos to both Jo and Katie for taking this next big step. It takes courage to try new things and change things up, we are proud of you both for doing it!
