International Angelman Day - feASt

February is Rare Disease Month. February 15th is International Angelman Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness and funding for Angelman Syndrome.

Int Angel Day logoSQ

The purpose of this day is to:

  • Raise awareness worldwide of the condition
  • Mobilize people to action & encourage fundraising for the individual organisation in their country
  • Promote research and educational resources in the organisation’s own country
  • Remember those people with Angelman Syndrome who are no longer with us

A common thread within the FAST community has been to come together in local communities to commemorate the day with other families over a meal. Hence, the concept of feASt was born! The idea is to arrange an event, it can be anything from a cupcake stand, morning tea, a casual backyard affair or a formal sit down dinner. Follow our guidelines to assist in making your feASt a meal to remember.
