Remi is our fifth child and much of infancy was unremarkable. However when some of her more advanced milestones were not being reached, we had her genetically tested at 30 months of age. She came back as Angelman with a methylation defect. As soon as we received the diagnosis my wife, Chrysti, researched support groups when we came upon FAST and have been a part of the organization since 2018. Chrysti enrolled Remi in so many therapies that Texas Children’s was amazed that so many could be done in a week. Remi has responded well and absolutely loves life and school. She believes she is exactly who she is supposed to be.
