CAN Spotlight: Harper's Hope Golf Scramble

Derrick and Johnna Webb hosted the 11th Annual Harper’s Hope Golf Scramble on June 1st in Louisa, Kentucky in honor of their daughter, Harper, who lives with Angelman syndrome. It was a tremendous success as more than 100 golfers participated in games both on and off the golf course to raise critical funds to support the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics.

Thanks to the generosity of these golf enthusiasts, more than $21,000 was raised to support FAST’s research efforts to find a cure for Angelman syndrome. In fact, even the winner of the 50/50 raffle decided to donate their winnings back in support of the mission.

Huge thanks to Derrick and Johnna Webb for all their hard work in raising awareness of Angelman syndrome and funds in support of FAST. Over the last 11 years, Harper’s Hope has contributed more than $267,000 to support Angelman syndrome-related research. Because of the generosity of this CAN event and that of many other generous supporters, there are currently 13 FAST-funded research projects in the pipeline. Better days are coming!
