FAST LatAm Updates

FAST LatAm was formed in May 2020 and their main project was to launch an Observational Cross Section Study in the region to further their main goal of laying the groundwork for future clinical trials in Latin America. With hard work and determination, they have accomplished this goal.

Starting April 2024, the first Observational Cross Sectional Study in LatAm will include 70-90 participants from Chile, Colombia, and Argentina!

In addition to this milestone achievement, FAST LatAm continues to find opportunities to raise funds and awareness for Angelman syndrome.

  • March 2024: Fundraising event in Mexico

  • July 2024: Sponsorship opportunity during a half Marathon in Bogota

  • August 2024: The First Angelman syndrome Congress in LatAm
