The Impact of Your Miles.

What is Angelman syndrome?

Angelman syndrome (AS) is a rare neurogenetic disorder that affects about one in 15,000 people, or approximately 500,000 individuals worldwide. Some say it could be as frequent as one in 8,000 people, or over 1,000,000 individuals worldwide.

Who is FAST?

Our mission is to cure Angelman syndrome by accelerating the research, investment, and advocacy needed to bring meaningful treatments to people living with Angelman syndrome.

Why should I join?

In rare disease, progress doesn’t happen unless we push for it. Most treatments don’t get developed without early, private funding. And every dollar raised brings promising therapies one step closer to the people who need them most.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, registration fees go to the organization to help offset the cost of charity partnership fees/bibs fees for each runner. They do not go towards fundraising minimums.

Of course, we highly recommend asking all donors to reach out to see if their donation qualifies for a company matching gift program. We will 100% put that towards your fundraising minimum, all we need is a receipt of how much the company will be matching.
